Karen Benner was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. She graduated with a degree in Cosmetology from the Wilfred Beauty Academy where she majored in hair, nails and makeup.

Impressed by her effervescent personality, creativity and energy, the multi-talented Karen was invited to join Candy Ecstrom's prestigious Hair Benders Salon where she worked for ten years.

Karen entered national and international hair shows, where she won an impressive 21 first place awards.
 

In July 2001, Karen opened her own salon and day spa, Salon DIVA in Lake Mary, Florida. Within two years, the upscale salon with contemporary interior styling earned a reputation as "the place to go".

In 2004, Karen decided to return to her roots in serving individual clients. She sold Salon DIVA and opened a private salon in the Lake Mary / Sanford area.

Her specialties include fusion hair extensions, hair color (she is a Master Colorist), Bio Ionic hair straightening, and makeup.
